Two of us nightfished Bullfrog Monday 4/23. No bites deep. But landed 7 in 24' deep water. Six in 12' water. Fat fish from 24'. Water temp 59.
Tuesday we started early. Saw lots of activity shallow. Gizzard shad around 12" or so in schools. Chasing smallmouths around. Some stripers swam through. Did not catch a single fish 6pm till 10:30 when we gave in. Water up a degree. But the wind had shifted late Monday from a gentle breeze from the south to a hard wind from the north on Tuesday. Air temp stayed above about 70. Put in a lot more effort on Tuesday but fish not biting. We know they were there during the day but do not know what happened after dark. Tuesday night was an unusual event for us.
