Bullfrog/Halls Fall hike 3530'

Sorry, late to posting. Oct 13-16 kayaked across Bullfrog Bay to the Eye and then backpacked, camped and ran Halls Creek Bay and Waterpocket fold. It was very different than the May trip this year. It was green, the pockets were mostly full of water, winds were calm and temp in the 70s/50s. Perfect weather to enjoy Lake Powell. I learned now that the bays are getting overgrown with tall plants it's best to cross them as close to the high water line for the season, not get trapped by mud, but avoid the dense thickets growing now.

Yes, those are on the rocks that have emerged with low lake level, and head out to the Bullfrog North buoy field. I was surprised and you'd want to give them some space in a boat.
