Striper boils / strong slurps were evident in Bullfrog Bay and up river to Moki. Did not have to go any further up river to get my boil “fix”. Still a lot of just slurp action but in several cases the fish were breaking the surface / jumping almost completely out of the water.
Small silver Kastmasters worked best with various small white plastic grubs (slightly weighted with split) a strong second. All of the fish were healthy and produced excellent fillets. Several of the fish appeared to be yearlings but there were several that were distinctly larger (and healthy). The shad varied in size from about 3/16” to 5/16”.
Did well with a surface lure in the early morning for LMB…. Always my prime target to catch and release.
Water temp about 85F with afternoon temps about 104F. Afternoon thunderstorms appear to be the norm right now
Have a blast !
