I was at lake Powell a few weeks ago and couldn't help but notice all the patches of submergent vegetation throughout the lake in the shallower areas. We were in the San Juan and rincon area. I was pretty amazed because besides some slime and a few stray patches of tules I have never seen any aquatic vegatition at Powell. After some research I'm confident it was brittle naiad. Wayne will this at least help the bass fishing? As it will give them some cover. Thanks

Any cover is very welcome for bass and crappie. I call this weed spiny naiad but it looks like it is the same weed despite the common names. The weed will persist over winter offering cover to small fish and to bass species. I count on it every year to help our fish through the winter.
