I’ve seen a bass attack a water bottle with a hook on it. A lot of fish are triggered to kill and attack things on instinct. They don’t care what color it is.

Actually we have found two lures quite similar to this in the back of Halls creek. Also We have fished Powell since the lake opened. I find a lure that is 3/4 inch chartreuse back and white belly one of the best lures to Use at Powell. They are exceptionall good for trolling the canyon rims for all species.

I never would buy that ugly lure but my fishing friend did and he caught the first fish. Bright colors work well when fish are fussy and shad colors work best when fish are biting at a normal rate.

My faith is restored, I throw some bright baits but that thing has to be a mistake from the factory.
