While fishing the Pepper/Yamamoto tournament yesterday, my son caught this guy on a jerkbait! Waiting for that Tiger Muskie now?! Fishing for just smallies and largies in the north right now was quite tough for us. It was definitely a 5 bite day. Water temps were cold and stayed cold, 49-52. More to come later. 20200321_135133.jpg

Well, I guess the trout we have in Colorado have to go somewhere. I notice a big difference this season in the numbers of trout in the Colorado near Glenwood Springs area. The huge runoff last Spring seems to flush a lot of the smaller fish out of town. Don't get me wrong, the trout are still there. Nice big ones. The numbers seem to be down. Anyone else experienced this this year ? I guess I'll wait and see how many rainbows run up the creek on my property.
Stay healthy all !
We can stick this out !

I caught a Tiger Trout a few years back just north of the Rincon. That "almost" looks like a Splake!
