Another Eclipse trip 2023

What an amazing weekend at the lake. So glad we went. The weather was fantastic and the eclipse was a sight to behold. We caught plenty of fish, hiked to some new spots, and overall had a great time. This place truly is heaven on earth.

I'm pretty proud of the reflection canyon shot. I hiked up from the main channel to reach the famous photo spot and didn't have to hike 15 miles in from land to get there. Only about 3/4. It was a little sketchy in a couple spots but worth it!

Great photos and it was a super weekend. Your canyon shot is stellar! I was just west of Capitol Reef boundary on the center line of the eclipse. I need to adjust the size of my photos so I can share. WW won't load them up they are to large of files. Have some nice time lapse pics and the real bonus was that there was elk everywhere up there. We hit some great slot canyons. Hopeful to have some time to set down and get my non phone photos shrunk down so they will load.

Where is that beach? Would it fit a houseboat and 2 cruisers?

@Phillbo I believe that's the same beach we stayed at our first two nights. Correct me if I am wrong though... Right outside of Davis Gulch. Definitely big enough for a houseboat and two cruisers Wind kinds hits you from both directions at least in our experience.

Plenty big enough. It's next to the island before getting up to where Dangling Dooley stayed.

However, it gets shaded by noon this time of the year. No fun when it's chilly out.

No sir, while we were definitely cruising...we were in four sea kayaks. 2 red, 1 orange, and 1 yellow. Couldn't of missed us.
