Almost changed my plans

Hope last night went ok for you! We had quite the hail and waterfall show in Knowles last night. I'm thankful all the excitement occurred while it was still light. Boat was surrounded by debris that washed down from the dry part of the canyon, but all clear this morning.
Yes Sir! I sleep like a baby on Powell but somehow, as content as I am here, I still keep an ear out for the winds. I was awoken around 1:30 AM and relied on my gimbals (my hanging lights, they were swinging wildly) to see I was getting kicked around. Started my engines, donned an headlamp and went out and checked my anchorage. (Also to make sure my motors were ready should the worst happen) should I get blown off the beach. Stayed up near the helm with the windows open for about two hours, eventually fell asleep on the couch as I heard the winds subside.

That's house boating on Powell, always amazing, never routine.

Enjoying a mimosa and the company of my lovely wife and a few friends right now on a Sunday Morning with no one here

To me this is one Big Part of what it's all about! Gimbals are all good and steady right now

Mimosa sounds awesome! We're about to start happy hour. Interesting about the weather - we got slammed with the hail and wind at about 6:30pm or so. The blast at 1:30 was much more mild.

No problems in Last Chance last n8ght. Enjoyed the storm well secured in the last arm on the left.
Last chance is usually great in storms, this one like most blew in from the West. Pretty impossible for winds to get over that 1500 foot cliff or so all along the West side, pretty safe there I'd say

Powell, like no place on earth
