A.I.S. sticker

Saturday, October 12 the Utah enforcement officer went down the slips at Halls Crossing recording boats with no current A.I.S. tags. We walked the docks and found several boats not in compliance. He recorded them with his phone while talking to his supervisor. Also while at the lake it was great to see all the rain and Bullfrog got flooded Saturday night.

NPS usually walks the docks mid-Oct looking for current registration and Glen Canyon Passes

I’ve learned to take a photo of my stickers each year so I can prove I had them. Last year the vendor who launched our boat put the Glen Canyon pass in the wrong location and we got a ticket. I got the violation dropped since I had a photo proving it had been purchased and was on the boat. Of course I spent an hour and a half on the phone to get it waived

Interesting that they have time to do that kind of task but probably not on the lake patrolling or assisting boaters during Gov't shutdown. C

My one on-lake interaction with them involved me getting a ticket for not having large enough bow numbers…..so apparently they just do the same thing out on the water.
